In the 2011–2012 season, Chelsea had a memorable and historic year, winning both the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup. Managed by Roberto Di Matteo, Chelsea finished 6th in the Premier League with 64 points. However, their biggest achievement was in the Champions League, where they triumphed over Bayern Munich in a dramatic final, winning 4–3 on penalties after a 1–1 draw. Didier Drogba scored the equalizer in the final and converted the decisive penalty. Chelsea also won the FA Cup, defeating Liverpool 2–1 in the final.
