Designed to reflect a "profound and passionate pride" in the nation, the kit’s bold color-blocking mimics the American flag and quickly earned its iconic nickname. This specific mantle features the name and number of Landon Donovan, a player whose absence from the 2014 tournament became one of the most talked-about stories in U.S. soccer history.

As seen , the jersey is built on a "royal blue" upper section and a "prominent red" lower section, separated by a crisp white horizontal band that extends across the chest and middle of both sleeves.
